This excel database contains the rolling stock inventory of rail operators in the European Union (EU). The database covers mainline rail applications—intercity, commuter, and freight rail—and offers insight into the rolling stock operated across the EU, including ones that have been retired. In some cases, ordered locomotives have been included. The database also contains a list of signaling solution providers and suppliers in the connected train market, including train control and signaling system service providers and hardware and software suppliers. The rolling stock is classified by vehicle-, class-, axle formula-, power-, and traction type.
